Sometimes walking along a path in the Lake District you can suddenly feel absolutely surrounded by nature. The path you tread is wet with rain, the air you breath smells of moisture from the moss clinging to rocks; you can hear water trickling over and down the river, the leaves on the trees shimmer in the wind above you. It feels like you might be in the middle of the amazon rainforest. It’s one of the most calming places in the world to me. You can forget everything.
