Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway

Eskdale Steam Train

I visited the Lake District recently and took a ride on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. I was with my nephews who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a sporadically rainy day flitting between peeps of sunshine and drizzle. Combined with the smells and sights of the steam powered train, it made for some great photographic opportunities. I especially enjoyed balancing myself out of the open windows and capturing full length shots of the train as it powered through tunnels and the countryside. My sister suggested to my nephews that I was a bad example so I told them that listening to everything your mum says is boring and that sometimes it’s more fun to be naughty!
