When you walk through areas of London where there are large, live construction sites, you can actively feel the light being blocked out. The sounds and smells of action as buildings shoot up make you feel trapped. As you look up and see the scale of these buildings, in this case rows and rows of cylinders in the sky, you can’t help but feel awed whilst at the same time feeling a little small. As someone who grew up in the countryside, buildings of this scale are still slightly alien to me. I couldn’t live there.
